The Women's Association of the First Presbyterian Church bestowed her with an honorary life membership. She had also been the church's flower chairman for 15 years. Roberta won numerous awards for her cut flowers and plants at the County Fair. Her love of gardening brought happiness for herself and all who were privileged to share her life. She married Donald L. Abell on October 24, and he is died October 10, Shirley Michael Staples all of Findlay, six grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Coupkes.

He served in the U. Air Force from until during the Korean conflict and held the rank of staff sergeant when he was honorably discharged. He was later employed at the Laanna Furniture Co. He later moved to Elyria, Ohio, where he worked at the Pfaudler Factory as a drill press operator. After returning to Marietta, he was again employed by Hall Brothers Inc.
From to he was business coordinator at Marietta Apparatus Co. He attended Ohio State University and became an industrial electricity instructor at Washington County Vocational School from until his retirement in His summer pastime was mowing the grass at Highland Park. He loved to travel, especially during his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Winona J.
Gatten Abicht, whom he married on Dec. Abicht and his wife, Holly, of Marietta; one daughter, Cathy B. Abicht of Janesville, Wis. Abicht DeFord and one Parkresburg, Trinity R. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Clara Abicht Montagnese; and one daughter-in-law, Debra Menke Abicht. Memorial services are at p. Ackerman, Beula L. Ackerman, 82, of Lewisville, died Friday Sept. She attended the former Calais Elementary and High School. She was a full-time homemaker and housewife and a member of the Calais Church, where she attended her entire life. She enjoyed embroidering gifts, reading, gardening and canning.
